Physics of a double reed
The main focus of my research will be directed, in particular, to oboe reeds made in the Philadelphia style. The studies I have referenced below, gives a good direction on how I will focus my current research efforts.

Oboe Reeds
This is a new WORK-IN-PROGRESS.
My Oboe Reed site deals with only the Philadelphia style reeds. The reed dimensions are as follows:

CANE SPECIFICATIONS:
Cane diameter: 10 - 10.5 mm
Gouge dimensions:
Center: 0.58 - 0.62 mm
Sides: 0.45 - 0.50 mm
Ideal: 45-60-45 (in hundredth mm)
Ross: 47-58-47
